Make
a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. Psalm 98:4.
Music is an important part of
worship and devotion at Mt. Harmony/Lower Marlboro United Methodist Church and we are blessed with the "joyful noise"
of many talented vocalists and musicians.
Our choirs rehearse on Wednesday evenings September
through May (Children at 6:00 p.m. and Adults at 7:15 p.m.) under the direction of Mary Ewaski (Choir Director) and Larry
Brown (Assistant Choir Director). New members are always welcome -- no auditions necessary! And, as an added
bonus, you won't have to fix dinner before rehearsal! A delicious meal is served in the Fellowship Hall
at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings before rehearsals.
In addition to our choirs, Jerry McGaughran coordinates special music
throughout the year featuring instrumental and vocal solos/ensembles.
Also, under the direction of Larry Brown, many members of our choir join sing in the Chesapeake Community Chorus which presents
several sacred concerts each year to benefit the Burnett-Calvert Hospice House.
