UPCOMING EVENTS
HENDERSON SETTLEMENT: For the remainder of August and into September, there will
be a display in the Fellowship Hall at Mt. Harmony UMC of pictures from the recent trip to Henderson Settlement. Barb
and Lee Sowell, Jean Heaton and Vera Wilkerson will be available to answer questions about these missions.
BUILDING
DEDICATION: As construction at Mt. Harmony UMC nears completion, the Building Committee is now planning for
"Dedication Day." Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 23, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.

NEW MEMBERS CLASS: The next New Members Class will
be on Sunday, September 30, 2007 following the 10:00 a.m. worship service. See Pastor Sandy
or Carol Terry for more information.
YARD SALE: There will be a yard sale on Saturday,
October 6, at LM Fellowship Hall. More details will follow.
GRAHAM CREEK BRIDGE:
The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners is proposing the removal and complete replacement of the Graham Creek Bridge
on Chaneyville Road. Replacement of the bridge would require the closure of that area to all traffic for approximately
six months. An informational community meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 16, beginning
at 7:00 p.m. at the Lower Marlboro Church Hall. Representatives from the Department of Public
Works will discuss the project's scope and status and will address comments and concerns raised by those present.
If you are unable to attend this meeting, you can still voice your comments and concerns by calling Bud Dombroski, project
engineer, at 410-535-1600, ext. 2568.
CONTINUING EVENTS
Wednesday
Evening Dinners: All are invited to come to fellowship dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Education
Building at MHUMC. Free will offering.
Stitchers-in-Stitches: Calling all who knit,
crochet, or would like to learn. Stitchers-in-Stitches will meet at Mary Ewaski's house on Friday evenings
at 7:00 p.m.
New Nursery: We are collecting monetary donations
to outfit the new nursery. If you wish to make a donation, please write "Nursery Fund" in the memo area of

Sunday School Classrooms:
We have two new classrooms to furnish and the existing classrooms need to be updated. If you wish to make a donation,

One On One Visits: Meet with the Pastor for a "getting to
know you session." Check the schedule on the Pastor's Office door to sign up for your 20-minute visit.
New Sound System: We need to have additional people who know how to operate the new sound system
